The aerial cube...oh the possibilities! Join Sarah Dawn and Cressie Mae, who have spent over six years researching and performing solo and duo material on this apparatus, for an afternoon of workshops exploring the fun and novel world of the aerial cube. They have quite a bit of exciting material they want to share with you, and you get a chance to work on one of the most unique aerial apparatus around! We will have TWO shiny cubes hanging for you to use, and are offering workshops on both solo and duo material!
11:00-12:30 Solo Cube
In this workshop, we will explore entrances and exits, transitions, poses, sequences, spinning, and even some drops. Ability to knee hang and invert in the air helpful, prior aerial experience and basic terminology (straddle up, birds nest) strongly suggested.
12:45-2:15 Duo Cube
The aerial cube is a great apparatus to start exploring partner work! Come alone or bring a friend. We will explore some partner balancing, shapes, sequences, and basing/flying that will result in lots of fun and some beautiful images in the air! Ability to knee hang and invert in the air helpful, prior aerial experience and basic terminology (straddle up, birds nest) strongly suggested. No prior partner experience required.
